SPACES WITH EXEMPLARY DESIGN
WOODRUFF PARK: ATLANTA, GA
Nestled amongst the modern office towers and historic buildings of the Fairlie-Poplar district, Woodruff Park is a 6-acre park in the geographic center of Atlanta. Its location at the crossroads of commerce, government, and education makes it a natural gathering space for a diverse cross-section of Atlantans and visitors and a key starting point for exploring Downtown Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods. Originally known as Central City Park in the 1970s, Woodruff Park was created through a generous donation from Robert W. Woodruff, former president of The Coca-Cola Company.

DESIGN CONCEPTS

Woodruff Park’s Game Cart is a wholesome, technology-free experience, offering fun, free things to do with your friends, team building exercises, meet and greets and more. The Game Cart is chock full of a variety of games you can check out and use in the park. It's located on the south end of the Park, near the gazebo, and all games are free to play.

Transportation
Relay Bike Share is Atlanta’s official bike share program providing a total of 500 shared pedal bicycles across the city. The program launched in 2015, offering the convenience and access to shared public bicycles used to get around town in a fun, healthy and environmentally-friendly way. It’s transit at your speed, and an affordable way to navigate Atlanta. Relay is sponsored by Georgia’s Own Credit Union.
Includes: bike parts vending machine and bike repair station

Mural Bike Rack
A program of the City of Atlanta’s Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, the Mural Bike Rack Project provided 18 local artists the opportunity to design and paint locally crafted bike-shaped racks installed throughout the community. A mural bike rack designed by Nancy Barbosa was installed in Woodruff Park, near the intersection of Peachtree Street and Edgewood Avenue, in 2016.
